Saturday, Oct. 6, 9 a.m.–1 p.m., is Photography Day. This event will be led by Richard Avakian, Hollywild’s official photographer, who will conduct a workshop for participants and guide them on a photographic exploration of the park and its special residents.
Admission of $50 per person includes workshop, access to special event areas, and full-day access to the park, safari bus ride and Creature Feature shows.
On Saturday, Oct. 13, 8 p.m.–10 p.m., visitors can explore the night sky during Star Search Astronomy Night. Volunteers from the Foothills Astronomy Club will lead the event. Bring your own binoculars or telescopes or use the ones set up on-site to help you identify planets, star clusters, nebulae, and amazing features of the night sky. Admission is $6 per person.
On Saturday, Oct. 20, activities will be held from 10 a.m.–3 p.m., and the park will remain open until 5 p.m. This day is the park's annual Owl Day. In celebration of these raptors, park visitors can participate in a free presentation from 2 p.m.–3 p.m. given by Beth Tyner-Knapp, founder of Wild at Heart Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education.
Guided tours of the park designed for ages 12 and up will be offered from 1-2 p.m. for an additional $2 charge.
Hollywild is open in October from 10 a.m.–5 p.m. on Weekends and on weekdays for groups by appointment. General Admission is $12 for adults; $10 for students and military (with ID); and $8 for handicapped individuals, children ages 2-14, and senior citizens over age 65. Group discounts are available.
