Trey Houston received an A+ Friday night as he led Greer to a 27-19 victory over rival and unbeaten Greenville at Dooley Field.

Houston accounted for 278 yards, scoring four touchdowns – two running and two passing.

Greer is 7-1 overall and 2-0 in Region II-AAAA with two region games remaining in the regular season. Greenville lost for the first time, 7-1, and is 2-0 in Region I-AAAA.

• Houston completed 15 of 17 pass attempts, 139 yards, and 25-yard scoring pass to Quay White in the second quarter, and a 9-yard TD pass to Chris Quinn in the third quarter.

• Houston ran for 139 yards on 14 carries, averaging 9.9 yards. He scored on a 27-yard run in the first quarter (7-0 Greer lead), and scored on a 49-yard run in the third quarter (27-3 Greer lead).

Greer plays Union County in the annual Jackets Bowl at Dooley Field next Friday. Union County won its first game with a 54-20 win over Blue Ridge (3-5, 1-1).
