Braden Johnson pitched a 5-hit shutout to lead Northwood to its second straight win at the Junior League World Series.

 

Braden Johnson pitched Northwood to a 4-0 victory over Corpus Christi, Texas in the Junior Baseball World Series Tuesday night.

It was Northwood’s (Taylors), second straight victory and next plays Hawaii Wednesday at 8 p.m.

Johnson limited the Southwest Region champs, 0-1, to five hits.

Parker Kruglewicz went 2-for-2 in his team’s eight-hit attack and scored a run. Teammates Granger Pope and Garrett Dill scored two runs apiece

Texas had a bye in the first round. Hawaii also had a bye and will bring it’s 1-0 record against Northwood’s 2-0 on Wednesday.
