Lake Robinson’s annual celebration is scheduled Sunday, Oct. 12, at the J. Verne Smith recreational area.
The 800-acre lake has served as a wildlife habitat, fishing, recreational area and drinking water source.
The free event is scheduled 1-6 p.m. and attendees are reminded to bring blankets and chairs.
Proceeds will benefit the Friends of Lake Robinson and support high school scholarships.

• Kayaks and canoes.
• Children's activities include a casting contest.
• Inflatable playgrounds.
• Stewardship Fair highlighting organizations that will share ideas about protecting the lake and environs, enjoying the plant and animal life, and living in harmony with nature.
• Fire Safety Trailer, fire prevention education and a demonstration on how to act if in a fire.
• Virtual fishing simulator.
• Hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and drinks sold by the Rotary Club of Greater Greer.
• Joe Beam band, 1 p.m. Locust Grove Blue Grass Band 3-5 p.m.
• Art competition entries displayed.
