Lanie Hudson, Miss Greater Greer, won Wednesday night's swimsuit competition at the Miss South Carolina pageant in Columbia.
Lara Scott, Miss Capital City, won the talent portion with a dance routine and Miss Greenville County Lindley Mayer had an impressive dance routine.
The teen competition saw Lyman Teen Hope Harvard win talent with a lyrical dance performance and Clarendon Teen Hannah Henshaw winning evening gown and onstage question.
Preliminaries continue Thursday night with the finals Saturday.
