Lions Club donates $10,000 to Greer High athletics
The Greer Lions Club presented Greer High School Athletic Director Travis Perry a $10,000 check Tuesday night at the service club’s bi-monthly meeting at the Lake View Steak House.

The Lions Club maintains the concession stands at Dooley Field during Greer football games. Proceeds have benefitted the high school since the club’s management of concessions over 50 years ago.

“It’s invaluable what the Lions Club does for Greer High School with our concessions, not to mention what this money means to an athletic director. They are the backbone of the community and we are so appreciative for what they do,” Perry said.

The significance of the donation, said Perry, is that it’s unbudgeted revenue.
