Lowes Foods invites public to groundbreaking Wednesday across from Riverside HS

Lowes Foods will build its contemporary grocery store in Greer across from Riverside High School. The public is invited to Wednesday's groundbreaking.

 

Lowes Foods will hold a groundbreaking Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at its first store location in the Upstate.

The grocery store will be across from Riverside High School at the corner of Suber and Hammett Bridge Road.

Executives and city leaders will be among the invited guests for the ceremonial groundbreaking. Crews were clearing a path onsite Tuesday to accommodate the expected visitors.

A Lowes Foods spokesperson said Riverside High School administrators, teachers, staff and students are invited to the groundbreaking. The public is also invited.

GreerToday.com first reported Lowes coming into the upstate market and selecting Greer as the location for its first store.
