North Greenville University's theatre production of “Nora's House” has been invited to participate in the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF) 47 at Georgia Southern State University in Statesboro, Ga., Feb. 8-11.
The cast will compete on Feb. 9 and will also be considered for national awards recognizing outstanding achievement in production, design, direction, and performance.
NGU’s professor of theatre Dr. Dale Savidge has adapted the original story of “A Doll’s House,” by Henrik Ibsen. The play was also created by a team of NGU theatre students.
Savidge and his team hopes to inspire women who find themselves in circumstances similar to Nora. The story journeys backward through time looking for opportunities to change the outcome of the play, Nora’s life, or your own life. This play interacts with its audience through short video interviews and social media participation.
