Dorothy "Dot" Fowler Reese, 94, daughter of the late Homer Ellison Fowler, Sr. and Marcille Staton Fowler, died on February 3, 2022. Christian, mother, sister, aunt and teacher.

Dot graduated from Lander College in 1948, and taught Home Economics for 33 years at Boiling Springs High School and Boiling Springs Middle School in Spartanburg S.C. She loved her work and her students.

An active member of Camp Creek Baptist Church, Dot was the secretary of Sunday School for many years.

Additionally, Dot and her sister arranged beautiful floral arrangements for the
church. These arrangements were gathered from neighbors? flower gardens or wildflowers.

An avid seamstress and quilter, Dot won awards for her beautiful works. She was industrious and designed and built her home.

Dot loved nature. She loved helping others. She loved her travels. She had a dry sense of humor that kept you laughing at the least little things. But most of all, she loved her daughter.

Surviving:

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law. Dr. Pamela and John Rawls; a sister Doris Fowler Hawkins; a nephew Mike Fowler (Kay) and a niece, Robin Fowler Morgan (Tripp).

She was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Homer Fowler, Jr. and Joyce Fowler.

Funeral Services:

A service will be held at 11:00 a.m. February 7, 2022, at Camp Creek Baptist Church conducted by Pastor Marty Martin and Pastor Markcus Fowler. Dr. Michael Weaver will conduct the music.

Committal will follow at Camp Creek Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held 10 until 10:45 a.m. at the church before the service.

Many thanks to Dr. Amber Passini, who defines compassionate care; nurse Ruby Rookard and nurse Angela Scoggins, for their devoted attention; the doctors and staff at St Francis hospital and the prayers of many friends.
