Elizabeth ?Beth? Eleanor Moser Tucker, 80, of Greer passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 24, 2023, from complications following a 25-
year battle with Parkinson?s Disease.
Born in Cliffside, N.C,, she was the daughter of the late Max I. Moser, Jr., and Louise Packard Moser.
She was in one of the first graduating classes at Chase High School in Forest City, N./C., and she also attended the Presbyterian Hospital Nursing School in Charlotte, N.C.
Beth was a member of Pelham Road Baptist Church and her greatest joy in life was being a caregiver. She lovingly cared for her family and was also passionate about caring for children, especially infants. Affectionately known as "Miss Beth?", she provided infant care for many years at several area churches including Lee Road United Methodist Church, Aldersgate United Methodist Church and Pelham Road Baptist Church.
Later in life, she received her nursing assistant certification and, at one point, worked as a CNA at NHC Healthcare-Greenville, where she spent the last few years of her life as a resident.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Steven Douglas Tucker, a
daughter, Julia T. Goldsmith (Mark) of Hendersonville, N.C., and a son, Steven
D. Tucker, Jr. of Greer; three grandchildren, Jacob A. Lea of Albemarle, N.C,,
Brandon J. Goldsmith of Spartanburg, S.C., and Elizabeth Nichole Hatler of
Greenville, S.C.; three great-grandchildren, Evelyn Hatler, Bella Hatler and
Alexander Hart of Greenville.
She is also survived by a brother, Max I. Moser III (Cindy) of Cowpens, S.C.
Visitation will be held at The Wood Mortuary in Greer on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at The Wood Mortuary conducted by Rev. Sam Coates with webcasting available at www.thewoodmortuary.com.
Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Greer.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Lea, Mark Goldsmith, Brandon Goldsmith, Skip
Goldsmith, and Max Moser.
