Frances Marcelle Fitts Barnette, 83, wife of the late Boyce Jack Barnette, went home to be with her Lord and her loved ones waiting in heaven on October 31, 2023.

A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late Henry Marion Fitts and Ruby Marcelle Farmer Fitts, she was a homemaker and member of Calvary Christian Fellowship of Taylors.

Surviving:

Surviving are two daughters, Sheila Scruggs (Danny) and Teresa Howard (Joe) of Greer; two sons, Steve Barnette (Sarah) of Lyman and Eddie Barnette of Greer; two sisters, Pat Dobson of Taylors and Ruby Golightly of Inman; 10 grandchildren, Stephen Barnette, Lindsay Bastian (Tony), Lauren Hartzell (Jacob), Tiffany Taylor (Josh), Justin Barnette, Danielle Sarratt (Josh), Dustin Scruggs (Kendall), Crystal Blankenship (Jack), Brittany Stage (Adam), and Colby Howard (Adison); and 16 great-grandchildren and two on the way.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Olin Fitts and Malcolm Fitts, one sister, Melissa Searcy, one great-granddaughter, Emma Taylor, and a daughter-in-law, Toni Barnette.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, November 3, 2023, at Calvary Christian Fellowship of Taylors, conducted by Rev. Phil Lord and Mr. Adam Stage. Burial will follow in Faith Temple Cemetery.

Visitation will be held 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday, November 2, 2023, at The Wood Mortuary.

The family is at the home.
