Harvey Thompson, 80, of Gray. Court, S.C., passed away January 8, 2024.

A native of Hamlet, North Carolina, son of the late Barney Byrd and Mary Jane Boyles Thompson, he was a retired truck driver and a member of Blue Ridge Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are his wife, Pansy Georgia Brown Thompson of the home; two daughters, Lisa Thompson Tessneer (Ray) of Bostic, North Carolina and Susan Thompson Blain (Travis) of Gray Court, South Carolina; two sisters, Pat Sipes
(James) of Goldston, North Carolina and Peggy Riddle (Raymond) of Siler City, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Tyler Bennefield (Diana), Alex Bennefield (Cheryl), Susie Grimmett, and Samantha Miller (Dalton); and five great grandchildren, Zina, Bentlee, Justin, Mikayla, and Talia.

Mr. Thompson was predeceased by two brothers, Burnice Thompson and Bill Thompson; and one sister, Margaret Williams.

Funeral Services:

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 13, 2024, at The Wood Mortuary Chapel conducted by Pastor Adam Sisky.

Visitation will be held 9:45-10:45 a.m. Saturday, January 13, 2024, at The Wood Mortuary.
