James William Goode, 98, of 1467 N. Highway 101, died December 14, 2014 at his home.

A native of Spartanburg County, son of the late Monroe and Arabell Southerland Goode, he was a U.S. Army Veteran, a retired employee of the Civil Service Navy Shipyard and a member of Groveland Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are his wife, Annie Mae Searcy Goode of the home; one son, Daryl Goode of Greer; one sister, Mildred Taylor of Callaway, Georgia; one granddaughter, Jennifer Goode Smith; and one great-granddaughter, Madyson Smith.

Mr. Goode was predeceased by one son, Glenn Goode, one brother and one sister.

Funeral Services:

A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2014 at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Chaplain John Elmore.

Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held 1:00-1:45 p.m. Monday at The Wood Mortuary.

The family is at the home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one?s choice.
