Janie Duncan Cloninger, 94, wife of the late William Leo Cloninger, passed away January 8, 2023.

A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late James Toy and Ruth Elizabeth Bagwell Duncan, she was a 1945 graduate of Parker High School and a homemaker.

She was a member of Greer First Baptist Church, where she was a children's choir director, children's Sunday school teacher, a Bible School teacher, and member of WMU.

Surviving:

Surviving are two daughters, Harriet C. Johnson (Ralph) and Lesli Cloninger of Greer; one son, Patrick B. Cloninger (Holly) of Greer; and three grandchildren, Dr. Liza Price (Tyler), William Blodgett Edwards (Olivia), and Lyndsey Cloninger; and one great-granddaughter, Emma Kathryn Price.

She was predeceased by one son, William L. "Billy" Cloninger, two brothers, Hulon Duncan and Jim Duncan, and a sister, Pat Duncan Stephens.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at The Wood Mortuary conducted by Rev. Robert F. Grant, Jr. and Dr. Doug Mize with webcasting available at www.thewoodmortuary.com.

Burial will be private.

Pallbearers will be William Edwards, Tyler Price, Glenn McAtee, Drew Zdenek, Nico Zapetis, and Logan Magara.

Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 p.m. Wednesday at The Wood Mortuary.

The family is at their respective homes.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Interim Healthcare as well as caregiver Charlene Thomas for the care and special friendship, they provided for
Mrs. Cloninger.
