Lessie Jewell Moon Wood, 86, passed away December 30, 2022.

A native of Spartanburg County, daughter of the late Avery Linton and Hattie
Rodgers Moon, she was a retired restaurant manager and a member of Apalache
Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are one son, Reginald Dean Wood (Margaret) of Lyman; one daughter,
Allison Hutto of Charlotte, N.C.; one brother, Homer Moon of Greer; three grandchildren, Michael Wood, Michelle Williams (Brian), and Matthew Jones (Candy); and five great-grandchildren, Noah Wood, Jonah Wood, Grayson
Wood, Legacy Wood, and Zakkary Jones.

She was also predeceased by one son, Vernon Howard Wood; four brothers,
Clarence Moon, John Moon, Clyde Moon, and Raymond Moon; three sisters,
Nellie Gwinn, Earlene Link, and Attie Sue Moon; and two great-grandchildren,
Presley Wood and Avery Jones.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at Apalache
Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Brian Childers and Rev. Butch Howard. Burial
will follow in Wood Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Tuesday at the church prior
to the service.
The family is at their respective homes.
