Clarence Lamar Nichols, 86, of Greer, entered into his eternal reward on Sunday, May 12, 2024.

Lamar was the owner and operator of Lamar Nichols Sanitation, Inc., which he owned for 45 years. He was a pioneer in the Residential Sanitation business in Greer.

He was a lifelong member and licensed minister of the Church of God (Cleveland, Tennessee).

Surviving:

He leaves behind his wife of 65 years, Geneva Hindman Nichols; two sons, Marion Nichols (Janice) of Greer and Eugene Nichols (Kimberli) of Campobello; a daughter, Laura Carroll (Doug) of Greer; four grandsons, Wesley Nichols, Ethan and Cole Carroll, and Justin Kirby; two granddaughters, Blake Crisp and Caitlin Byrd; a brother, Jerry Nichols (Helen) of Greer; two sisters, Lavonia Snow of Greer and Jane Pearson (Michael) of Greer.

He was predeceased by his parents, Clarence Evans and Ella Sudduth Nichols, two brothers, Carroll Nichols and Dennis Earl ?Debo? Nichols, and an infant son, David Lamar Nichols.

Funeral Services:

Visitation will be held 1 - 2:45 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Praise Cathedral Church of God.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Praise Cathedral
Church of God, 3390 Brushy Creek Road, Greer, South Carolina, conducted by Pastor Jerry Madden, Pastor Chris Cri'swell, and Rev. Doug Carroll. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ethan Carroll, Eric Nichols, David Bryant, Caroll Nichols, Russell Snow, and Joel Lynch.

Honorary escorts will be Zorro Emery, Steve Howard, and Bob Raines.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude and their love to Praise
Cathedral Staff and members for the love and support they have shown the family.

They would also like to thank Interim Hospice Care for the tremendous care they have shown our father.
