Robert "Bob" Franklin Smith, 85, passed away Feb. 15, 2016.
He was a native of Cherokee County and was the son of the late Wilton Henry and Sudie Inman Smith. Upon retirement, he was manager of Community Cash for over 40 years. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and held the rank of Staff Sargent in the Strategic Air Command. He was a member of Greer First Baptist Church, Bailey Masonic Lodge, and a Hejaz Shriner.
Surviving:
Surviving are his wife, Gail E. Smith; two sons, Jim Smith (Pam) of Greer and Brandon R. Smith of Atlanta, Georgia; a brother, James I. Smith of Greer; a sister, Margaret Robbins of Charlotte, NC; two grandchildren, Zack Smith and Jake Smith (Jackie); and one great-grandchild, Taylor Smith.
Funeral Services:
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Dr. Allen McWhite. Burial will follow at Wood Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2016 at The Wood Mortuary.
