Rodney Brockman Hunt, 90, loving husband of Doris Ward Hunt of 68 years, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on May 25, 2024.

Born in Double Springs, South Carolina, son of the late Walter Giles Hunt and Dorothy Andrea Lynn, he was a United States Air Force Veteran, serving 20 years before he was honorably discharged as a Major from The United States Air Force Reserves. Rodney not only served his country but his local community and church.

He was a founding member of the Taylors Volunteer Fire Department serving as
Captain, and he was one of the founding members of St. Luke?s Southern Methodist Church in Taylors. Mr. Hunt spent years in the S&L business and left to
form his own business as a real estate broker and appraiser.

He was a graduate of Clemson University, and a member of Taylors First Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are the love of his life, Doris Ann Ward Hunt of the home; three sons, Rodney Michael "Mike Hunt (Nina) of Helsinki, Finland, Mark Lynn Hunt (Sara)
of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Timothy Martin "Marty" Hunt (Jodie) of Jefferson,
Georgia; one sister, Andrea Mason of Burlington, Iowa; and six grandchildren,
Graham, Drew, Ryan, Justin, Grace, and Emily; and four great-grandchildren,
River, Gibson, Harper, and McKayla.

Mr. Hunt was predeceased by two brothers, Walter Hunt and Randall Young.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, May 30, 2024, at The Wood
Mortuary Chapel conducted by Dr. Jimmie Harley. A private committal service will
be held at a later date.

Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 p.m. Thursday, May 30, 2024, at The Wood
Mortuary.

The family will be at their respective homes.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Gideons International, P.O. Box
97251 Washington, DC 20090-7251.
