Steven Duane Jones, 67, husband of the late Ann Forrester Jones, passed away January 27, 2023.

A native of Greer, son of the late Thomas and Mary Brown Jones, he was the retired owner and operator of the Poinsett Grocery and M & J Restaurant both of Greer, the Lyman Convenience Store, and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving:

Surviving are one daughter, Marie Wilson (Brian) of Greer; two sons, Matt Jones and Steven Jones II both of Greer; one sister, Darlene Jones Wall of Greer; four grandchildren, Laura Ann Wilson, Steven Jones III, Addie Mae Wilson, and Storm Jones; a sister-in-law, Jackie Jones of Greer; and many nieces and nephews.

He was also predeceased by two brothers, Darrell and Freddie Jones; one sister
and brother-in-law, Annette and Gene Welchel; and one brother-in-law, Darrell Wall.

Funeral Services:

Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at Wood Memorial Park, conducted by Rev. Keith Kelly.

Visitation will be held 6 - 8 p.m. Monday, January 30, 2023, at The Wood Mortuary.

The family is at the home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children?s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
