Eric Pressley has been promoted to captain at the Greer Police Department. He is second in command to Chief Matt Hamby.
Hamby assumed the role left vacant by retired Chief Dan Reynolds. Hamby and Pressley began their new assignments on April 1.
Pressley joined the Greer Police Department in 1994 and was promoted to sergeant in 1998 and then lieutenant in 2002. He graduated the FBI National Academy in 2016 and has a master’s degree master’s degree from Anderson University.
No replacement has been announced for Pressley’s vacant position.
