Riverside is overmatched by Greenwood, DiBenedetto throws 2 TD passes

Riverside ran into a high-powered Greenwood offense that scored the most points since 1945.

Greenwood finished its Region II-AAAAA scheduled undefeated, 5-0, at the expense of an outmanned Riverside Warriors football team, 63-14, Friday night at Greenwood.

Riverside is 3-6 overall and 0-4 in the region. The Warriors play the final regular season game at Wade Hampton 4-5 overall, 0-4 region, next Friday.

Riverside scored its first of two touchdowns in the second quarter when Max Louris caught an 8-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Logan Dibenedetto. Antoine Kahaleh connected on one of his two points after touchdowns.

Kris White’s 32-yard scoring play from Dibenedetto and Kahaleh’s kick finished Riverside’s scoring.

Dibenedetto missed two plays after being injured in the first half and running back Max Louris was injured and did not play the second half.

Greenwood quarterback Roshun Jackson scored six touchdowns – five in the first half. He had 173 yards rushing on 12 carries and threw for 146 yards.

Running back Rayshawn Moss scored twice.
