Riverside student Sarah Rhodehamel placed 9th in the Writing Art division.
In the Essay Division, 520 essays were submitted. The winners were judged by qualified educators from across South Carolina.
From Riverside, student Beverly Grace won 2nd Place and Teddy Stoikov won 6th place. All three students from Riverside High are students of Bekki Benjamin, English teacher.
Gracie Studart also received Honorable Mention in the 5 state regional competition.
