Greer knows Santa is hot.
His annual visit to Greer’s “Breakfast With Santa” sponsored by the City Parks and Recreation Events Division was sold out within 8 hours – one working day at city hall.
Santa will see 528 guests on Saturday, Dec. 1 with 176 per seating at the Cannon Centre at 8, 9:30 and 11 a.m. The past four years Santa found his way to City Hall to meet with the children.
“There’s no doubt that it’s the hottest ticket in town, but we want to make sure that the event remains both affordable and intimate,” said Steve Owens, Communications Manager at the city.
“Feedback from past years tells us that guests love having so much personal time with Santa and that they are able to bring their own cameras and camcorders to capture free memories – another rarity at such events,” Owens said.
Owens said the city is studying whether the event will be expanded in the future.
“The Events Division staff has done a great job of planning Breakfast with Santa in that space and we think guests will find it to be a wonderful venue for the event,” Owens said.
“The division is also creating a waiting list for tickets and has requested feedback from the community, especially those who weren’t able to secure tickets this year – an effort to determine if and how we can expand the event in the future.”
