Beth Sayce, VP, Loan Administration, and John Gifford, Financial Advisor and Senior VP, Financial Services of Greer State Bank have graduated with additional business education skills.
Sayce graduated from the Southern Operations and Technology School, a two-year school produced and managed by the Georgia Bankers Association at the University of Georgia at Athens.
Nine bank operations and technology professionals graduated from this year’s school.
"Operations and technology are central to the business of banking, so bankers need broad-based understanding and in-depth knowledge in these areas," said School Director Sandy Robinson, of Ameris Bancorp Inc. in Moultrie, Ga. "Technology in banking is rapidly changing, and the curriculum lays the groundwork for meeting these challenges."
Gifford graduated the Leadership Greer Class XXXIV. The program’s curriculum is designed to challenge participants to respond to the needs of the community and the dynamics of social and economic change, develop a sense of bonding and cooperation between the participants, create a dialogue and sense of teamwork, and provide leadership training and development.
