Leadership Greer Class XXXIV and Junior Leadership Class XXV held their graduation ceremony last Tuesday at the BMW Zentrum.

Leadership Greer’s class project, Leaders in Action, a partnership with Christmas in Action, coordinated a project day, and worked on five homes in the Greer area. A donation of $1,000 each was also made to Greer Relief & Resources, Greer Community Ministries, Piedmont Women’s Center, Middle Tyger Community Center, and the Greer Soup Kitchen.

Kenneth Seay, Training and Leadership Manager from Michelin and Professor of Leadership and Ethics for Clemson University’s MBA program, delivered the keynote address.

Sarah Belue, City of Greer Parks and Recreation Department. Belue is the first person to graduate both the adult and junior leadership programs.

Mitsubishi Polyester Film Junior Leadership scholarship

Anna Parham, a senior from Riverside High School. Parham will attend Lander University in the fall pursuing a degree in Elementary Education.

Volunteer Challenge Award

The Adult class won the challenge versus junior leadership. Combined volunteer hours were 812 in the past 9 months. Justin Miller, Greer Parks and Recreation, volunteered 97.5 hours ,and Kiara Gonzalez from Riverside High School volunteered 219.5 hours.

Candidates interested for the 2014-2015 leadership classes should contact Lynn Pascazio at 877-3131 for additional information. Applications are due by July 10.
