The SC Bar Pro Bono Program will sponsor eight free legal clinics in the Spartanburg area in September.
Most involve a 30-45 minute lecture followed by either a question and answer or five-minute one-on-one session with an attorney.
The schedule:
Sept. 6 — Wills, Estates and Probate, presented by Leon L. Campbell. The clinic will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Cyrill-Westside Branch Library (525 Oak Grove Rd., Spartanburg).
Sept. 6 — Real Estate Issues and Foreclosures, presented by Ronald E. Robbins. The clinic will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Inman Branch Library (50 Mill St., Inman).
Sept. 13 — End of Life Issues, including health care power of attorney, living wills, DNR orders, power of attorney, funeral planning and cremation, presented by Edwin C. Haskell III. The clinic will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Cyrill-Westside Branch Library (525 Oak Grove Rd., Spartanburg).
Sept. 13 — Family Law Issues, including divorce, custody, visitation and support, presented by J. Patrick Anderson. The clinic will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Inman Branch Library (50 Mill St., Inman).
Sept. 20 — Real Estate Issues and Foreclosures, presented by S. Frank Adams. The clinic will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Cyrill-Westside Branch Library (525 Oak Grove Rd., Spartanburg).
