Stephen Unwin, founder of the British National Touring Company in London, will be in residence at the University of South Carolina Upstate to conduct free Master's classes and seminars.
Master’s Class sessions are held in the Studio Theatre and are free and open to the public. Class times are:

• Tuesday, Nov. 8 – no formal class due to Election Day
• Wednesday, Nov. 9 – 2-4 p.m.
• Thursday, Nov. 10 – 9:25-10:40 a.m.
• Thursday, Nov. 10 – 1:40-2:55 p.m.
• Friday, Nov. 11 – 2-4:00 p.m.
• Monday, Nov. 14 – 2 – 4 p.m.
Unwin is the former artistic director and chief executive of The Rose Theatre in Kingston, England, and played a key role in helping to establish opportunities for USC Upstate students to intern at theatres in London and to work and perform during the International Youth Festival in Kingston Upon Thames in the United Kingdom.
Unwin has an extensive theatre background. In the 1980s he was associate director at the Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh. In the 1990s, he served as resident director at the National Theatre Studio and he founded English Touring Theatre. He also has directed productions in the West End, including the Donmar Warehouse, as well as more than a dozen operas and written numerous books.
