Greer’s Noah Guthrie made the judges cuts on Tuesday night’s “America’s Got Talent”.
Guthrie, 24, joins six other acts for the live rounds of competition in mid-August.
Guthrie sang the Allman Brother’s Band’s “Whipping Post” and watched as the judges awarded him with a standing ovation and Simon Cowell offered a thumbs up.
“I don’t even think we’ve come close to realizing how good you could be, Cowell told Guthrie.
This is “the second chance I’ve been wanting for a very, very long time,” Guthrie said.
Guthrie will be touring in the fall in The Netherlands, Germany and United Kingdom.
