Big Thursday includes a variety of family friendly activities. Admission is $1 or a donation of nonperishable food items.
A bazaar, silent auction, appraisal fair, barbecue lunch, and a hot dog supper are part of the event that raises funds for the ministry. The annual event, at 1300 Locust Hill Road, is 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. There is no live auction tonight.
Welch will be baking her signature angel biscuits and Helton is providing homemade apple pies, according to Candace Good, event chair.
“Whether you are helping fill the tables with delicious baked goods, donating items for our auctions, coming out to purchase items or lifting us up in prayer, we genuinely appreciate your generosity,” Good said.
“We could not do what we do in this community without the support of our board and the hundreds of volunteers that join us daily in our mission,” Cindy Simpler, GCM Executive Director, said.
