Miss Yellow Jasmine Teen, Kelsey Pranke, 16, from Greenville, won the Talent preliminary in the Miss South Carolina Teen competition.
• Miss Hartsville, Mikeya Murphy, 24, from Dillon, won the Talent preliminary. She performed a vocal rendition of “Proud Mary” by Tina Turner.
• Miss Greenville Scottish Games, Morgan Romano, 20, from Columbia, won the Tuesday Evening Gown/Social Impact preliminary.
• Miss Yellow Jasmine Teen, Kelsey Pranke, 16, from Greenville, won the Talent preliminary in the Miss South Carolina Teen competition. She performed a ballet and violin rendition to the theme song of “The Phantom of the Opera”.
• Miss Columbia Teen, Kellan Fenegan, 16, from Lexington, won the Evening Gown/Onstage Question preliminary.
Miss South Carolina 2019 will receive a $60,000 scholarship and will compete for the title of Miss America. Miss South Carolina Teen 2019 will compete for the title of Miss America’s Outstanding Teen.
The Miss South Carolina and Miss South Carolina Teen pageants will continue this week with two more nights of preliminary competition on Wednesday and Thursday at 7 p.m. The final competition for the Teens is at 8 p.m. on Friday, June 28, when the new Miss South Carolina Teen will be crowned.
The final competition for the Miss contestants starts at 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, when the new Miss South Carolina will be crowned live on WACH FOX TV along with other stations in the state.
