A vicious thunderstorm with heavy rain, wind and lightning cancelled all but one game at the FCA Jamboree at North Greenville University this evening.

Greer’s scrimmage versus Wade Hampton was among the games cancelled. The event will not be rescheduled.

Head Coach Will Young kept his players at the high school when he learned of the approaching storm. They were dismissed about 7:45 p.m., about the time the Yellow Jackets were scheduled to arrive at the stadium.

Greer has yet to scrimmage another team.  The team will be busy with three scrimmages next week:

Tuesday, scrimmage vs. J.L. Mann, 6 p.m., free

Thursday, scrimmage vs. Gaffney at Dooley Field, Meet the Jackets, 6 p.m., free

Saturday vs. Mauldin at J.L. Mann Jamboree, 7:30 p.m., $5 admission
