Cheerleaders of Greer Recreation met the varsity cheerleaders before Friday's game. They were applauded by the crowd at Dooley Field at halftime.
The Greer Recreation Department and Greer High School football are associated in branding of the football programs.
Greer beat Southside, 42-7, to clinch a tie for the Region II-AAA championship.
Earlier in the week, the Recreation Department’s Upstate Jackets 12-Under team among the teams recognized Friday night beat the District 5 Rebels. The game will be televised on Spartanburg City Channel (14) the following dates:
• Thursday, Nov. 6, 7 p.m.
• Friday, Nov. 7, 6 p.m.
• Saturday, Nov. 9, 3 p.m.
• Sunday, Nov. 10, 7 p.m.
