“Two hot dogs, French fries and a tea! A big ice tea! To go!”
Chulkus was in mid-sentence talking about Lonnie “Gee” McGee when he paused, busted out laughing again and repeated the phrase.

The World War II veteran runs errands for downtown merchants, has a sandwich named for him at the Stomping Grounds on Trade Street, and has worked annually at the Waffle House – only on Christmas Day to allow staff to spend time with their families.
Registration for the Greer Christmas Parade, scheduled Dec. 6 at 2:30 p.m., is open.
Greer Relief, the beneficiary and organizer of the parade, is accepting entries received or postmarked by Wednesday, Nov. 25 to avoid a late fee.
