Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) is teaming up with Harvest Hope Food Bank to host a food drive to assist federal employees working on its campus during the partial government shutdown. Items will be accepted starting Thursday.
“Throughout the partial government shutdown, federal employees have worked tirelessly to keep operations at GSP running smoothly,” said Dave Edwards, GSP’s president and CEO. “The food drive is one small way we can show our appreciation for their hard work and dedication.”
American Airlines will increase the number of weekly seats offered between Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) and Dallas/Ft. Worth International Airport (DFW) by nearly 14 percent this summer with additional nonstop flights.
The airline is adding flights between the airports on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays starting June 6. American’s new schedule will provide three daily departures on peak days to DFW from GSP.
Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) continues its streak of rising passenger and cargo activity.
November marked the 14th consecutive month that the airport experienced a rise in passenger activity. November’s passenger activity was up 13 percent when compared to November 2017 and cargo activity was up nearly 6 percent.
Passengers are advised to arrive two hours before the departure of their flights at Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport this weekend.
It will be busy with the nonstop flights added to the San Francisco area for Clemson’s national championship game versus Alabama at Santa Clara, Calif.
