Lauren Cabaniss (Miss Greater Greer) and Sydney Sill (Miss Greater Greer Teen) were at Praise Cathedral’s yard sale for Relay for Life.
The beauty queens helped sell luminaries and signed autographs.
Lauren Cabaniss, Miss Greater Greer, will host a fundraiser Thursday for the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) at the Pizza Inn at 115 W. Wade Hampton Blvd.
Tickets are $10 and include a buffet meal and drink. Pizza Inn owner Don Coggins and Joey Poole have pledged 30 percent of the ticket sales to CMN. The all-day event allows participants to use their tickets for lunch or dinner.
Both Miss Greater Greer - Lauren Cabaniss and Miss Greater Greer Teen - Sydney Sill, along with their moms - Gina Sill and Stacy Cabaniss and the Miss Greater Greer pageant directors - Kevin McCall and Debbie Brown, traveled to Myrtle Beach on April 1 to visit Foxy Lady, a well known pageant shop in South Carolina.
It was time to pick the perfect wardrobe for the Miss South Carolina pageant in July and Foxy Lady was the place to look.
The Miss Greater Greer Scholarship Committee, in conjunction with the Greer Family Fest, will be hosting its annual Prince and Princess Pageant. The pageant is Saturday, May 5 at 10 a.m. on the stage located on Trade Street at the Depot. Registration s $40. Age groups run from through 12 months, through 14 - 16 years of age. This event serves as a fundraiser to help Miss Greater Greer and Miss Greater Greer Teen with expenses when they compete at the state pageant in Columbia during July 7-14.
