Sydney Sill, Miss Greater Greer Teen, and Lauren Cabaniss, Miss Greater Greer, took part in the Greer Family Fest last Friday and Saturday emcees of the Miss Princess Pageant, meeting festival visitors at the GreerToday.com boutique booth and selling tickets to a barbecue luncheon scheduled Saturday. They also posed for photos and signed autographs.
Sydney and her mother, Gina, enjoyed a lighter moment during a photo opportunity with Aaron Tippin before he performed to nearly 7,000 people at Greer City Park last Saturday.
The 2012 Miss Greater Greer and Miss Teen visited the Shriners Hospital for Children Wednesday. They met and posed for pictures with patients and hospital administrators and nurses.
The visit was special for Lauren Cabaniss, Miss Greater Greer, and Sydney Sill, Miss Greater Greer Teen. Cabaniss’ platform involves raising funds for children needing care and coincides with the Miss South Carolina Organization affiliation with the Children’s Miracle Network.
2012 Miss Greater Greer Teen Sydney Sill visited Brushy Creek Elementary School to visit with the students.
Sill, who will be competing for the Miss Teen title in Columbia in July, visits schools, hospitals, service clubs and other organizations to meet people in the community, business and government.
Taylor Singleton is another example that Greer isn’t short on beautiful girls representing the city in this year’s Miss South Carolina pageants.
Taylor, the reigning Little Miss Greer, will represent the city in the Little Miss South Carolina Pageant next month in Hartsville. Singleton, 8, is the daughter of Chad and Angela Singleton and is an honor student and student council representative at Reidville Elementary School. She is also a competition dance team member at Rhythms Dance.
Sydney Sill, Miss Greater Greer Teen, found her visit to Laura’s An Upscale Boutique, as much fun representing her title and meeting guests as she did browsing the store.
Sill is in her final month as a sophomore at James F. Byrnes High School. She attended her first prom two weeks ago, wearing a gown she debuted at the Miss South Carolina Forum earlier this spring.
