Miss Eldorado Teen Kehler Bryant was awarded the Miss South Carolina Teen State Scholar Award and a $500 savings bond for academic excellence at last week's Miss South Carolina Teen pageant in Columbia.
Miss Anderson Lanie Hudson was crowned Miss South Carolina 2014 Saturday night.
Hudson is one-year removed as Miss Greater Greer and a fifth place finish in the state pageant last year. She graduated Clemson with a degree in communications. Her father, Alex, and grandfather, Bill, played football at Clemson University.

Miss Greater Easley Teen Hope Harvard won the evening gown competition Thursday at the Miss South Carolina Teen pageant making her the first double preliminary winner for either Teen or Miss. Harvard, 16, from Easley won talent on Wednesday.

Greer Mayor Rick Danner has signed a proclamation recognizing Young Miss Greer Taylor Singleton’s community service efforts and expressing the city’s support as she competes in the Young Miss South Carolina (10-12 years old) competition scheduled for July 15 in Hartsville.
Last August, Singleton created “Taylor’s Team: Kids Helping Kids,” a group of young people ages 2-15 who work with her on projects for the Hope Center for Children, Ronald McDonald House, and Greenville and Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital. They also bring gifts for a “team buddy” who is being treated for cancer.
