BMW has alerted its dealers a voluntary recall is imminent for up to 76,190 vehicles specific to 2012-2014 model years equipped with a N20 or N26 engines.
The X3 xDrive28i manufactured in Greer between June 2012 – August 2013 has potentially 10,547 vehicles affected.
The new BMW X5, manufactured in Greer, begins its sales cycle just as BMW Group in the U.S. (BMW and MINI combined) reported an 8.3 percent sales increase for September.
“October means arrival of the new X5, a full month for the new 4 Series, and the full range of new diesel engines in our 3 and 5 Series cars; just a few of the reasons why we are excited about the next three months,” said Ludwig Willisch, President and CEO, BMW of North America.
