Max Homa won the BMW Charity Pro-Am Sunday with a one-stroke win over Jonathan Randolph that concluded at the Thornblade Club. Homa, the 2013 NCAA Champion, finished with a 20-under par 266.
Homa’s final round, a bogey-free, 8-under 63 earned him the $117,000 prize for his first Web.com Tour championship. He vaulted from 64th to ninth on the money list with $142,155.
Three players are tied for the lead at the BMW Pro-AM for the first time entering the final round. Furman’s Matt Davidson, former Auburn All-American Blayne Barber and Duke’s Ryan Blum share the 54-hole lead at 14-under-par 201.
Wake Forest’s Kyle Reifers and Vanderbilt’s Jon Curran are a shot back in a tie for fourth.
Vermont native Trevor Murphy and Ohioan Kyle Reifers fired rounds of 66 and 64, respectively, to grab the halfway lead at the BMW Charity Pro-Am. The pair sits at 12-under par 132.
A shot back are last year’s NEC Series-PGA TOUR Latinoamérica leading money winner Ryan Blum, who equaled Reifers 66, and former U.S. Amateur champion Kelly Kraft, who shot 67.
Tee times for the BMW Pro-Am golf tournament for Thornblade Club, Green Valley and The Reserve Thursday through Saturday. All golfers are scheduled to tee off at 8:30 a.m. Thursday from the No. 1 and No. 10 teams.
The field of 168 professionals, 25 celebrities and amateurs will rotate playing the three courses. The low 65 pros (and ties), 10 pro-am teams and low 6 celebrity pro-am teams will play the final round Sunday at Thornblade.
