Free computer class for seniors is being offered by the City of Greer recreation department beginning in April.
Kay Young, noted piano teacher, will be the instructor. Classes are offered from 9 – 11 a.m. or 1 – 3 p.m. on Thursdays. There is a limit of 10 per class and four different sessions offered.

Chad Crews presented a literacy program to 7th grade students featuring "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens. He also presented ghost stories featuring M.R. James, who is considered to be father of the modern ghost story, which features lots of magic and mystery.
Students in 7th grade science had a visit from PlastiVan, a national program educating students on current research and innovations and research in plastics. Students learned about the presence of different types of plastics in their lives and conducted an experiment where they learned more about the properties of plastics.
