Anna McCleer won first place in vocal performance Tuesday night at Riverside Middle School’s talent show.
McCleer was a finalist last year at Greer Idol Teen (third place), where she impressed judges with her voice and song writing.

New York City musician Christine Santelli’s southern tour will bring her to The Stomping Grounds on Thursday, Feb. 28 from 7-9:30 p.m.
Santelli’s “Dragonfly” was named co-Album of the Year by Deep Roots Magazine. The magazine’s video of the month is a piano and vocal version of “Find My Home” from her album.
“Dragonfly” was a result of a project in the summer of 2010 when she wrote or videotaped 100 original songs in 100 consecutive days. Fifteen of these originals were recorded for her first solo acoustic album.
She has toured the world (South Africa, Norway, Germany, Switzerland, Russia, France and Spain) and released 8 CDs over her career that spans more than two decades.
Santelli's southern tour takes her to Johnson City and Nashville, Tenn., Athens and Savannah, Ga., and Silverhill and Mobile, Ala.
