The Aldi grocery store at 1050 W. Wade Hampton Blvd. has scheduled its grand opening on Thursday, Oct. 29.
The store, at 1050 W. Wade Hampton Blvd., is scheduled for its grand opening festivities which, includes samples and prizes. Aldi is on property that formerly housed D & D Ford.
Store hours are 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Sunday.
The Greer Aldi is part of a two-store opening that day and will be the third opened in the greater Greer area this month. The Aldi at 100 Chalmars Road in Greenville also opens Oct. 29. A Boiling Springs store, on Hwy. 9, opened Oct. 1.
Earlier this month Aldi announced it has removed certified synthetic colors, removed partially hydrogenated oils (PHOs) and removed added MSG from all of its exclusive brand food products.
“Our decision to remove these ingredients from all of our exclusive brand foods delivers on our ongoing commitment to meet the evolving preferences of our customers,” Jason Hart, CEO, Aldi, said.

Ninety percent of Aldi products are sold under private labels.
Aldi operates more than 1,400 U.S. stores in 32 states, primarily from Kansas to the East coast. The store offers a double guarantee, if for any reason a customer is not 100 percent satisfied with any Aldi food product, the customer will receive a product replacement and refunded the purchase price.
