Eyebrow threading, a technique founded more than 6,000 years ago has gained popularity in western cultures.
Threading is one of the cultural demonstrations Saturday at the International Festival held at City Park, City Hall and the amphitheater.
The festival is 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Eyebrow threading, generally for women, is for men, too. Unlike using tweezers, threading is a way to remove short lines of hair and help shape eyebrows. It’s a ritual practiced around the world.
A Kids Map, images below, traces more than 20 countries featured around the world.
The festival, which is free, features dancing, demonstration sports, food and education as cultures share their way of life.
The schedule, events and complete information can be found at the City of Greer’s International Festival link.
