Martha Bennett has been appointed operations manager for the Greer Family Shelter.
Bennett has managed the Greer Soup Kitchen and will now add shelter operations to her duties.
Daily Bread Ministries begins operations on Monday of the family shelter – STEP, Shelter to Empower People – a four-unit homeless rehabilitation shelter located near the Greer Soup Kitchen on E. Poinsett Street.
STEP will provide a 90-day program to house families, including veterans, from homeless to employed with a home.
