Lowe’s Home Improvement will be building a playground in the courtyard of the Greer Family Shelter on Wednesday.
The shelter, four separate apartments, provides early intervention to enable families and veterans to move from being homeless to employed-with-home. Daily Bread Ministries, which hosts the Greer Soup Kitchen, is managing the shelter.
The courtyard includes benches and games. The playground equipment will fulfill the courtyard’s concept for STEP (Shelter to Empower People).
