Blue Ridge students get 9th place at business conference

Shaun Belue and Rebecca Stone from Blue Ridge High School received national recognition at the Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA-PBL) Awards of Excellence on July 2 in San Antonio.

Shaun and Rebecca competed in Business Ethics and brought home 9th place. The team competed against 84 teams.  The following students competed in Digital Video Production:  Kennedy Crump and Karlee Gibson while Ashling O’Boyle, Jenna Church, and Abby Roth competed in E-Commerce.

The award was part of a comprehensive national competitive events program sponsored by FBLA-PBL that recognizes and rewards excellence in a broad range of business and career-related areas. In addition to the competitions, students immersed themselves in educational workshops, visited an information-packed exhibit hall, and attended motivational keynotes on a broad range of business topics.
