CBL Foundation awards $20,000 in higher education scholarships to four local students

Citizens Building & Loan has awarded $20,000 in higher education scholarships for 2016 to four area students. Each will receive a $5,000 scholarship.

Blue Ridge High School recipients are Brason Haney, who will attend USC in Columbia, and Lindsey Anderson, who will attend Furman University.


Recipients of The Dr. Robert F. Williams Scholarship are Greer High School seniors Jessica Greene, who will attend Furman University, and Elizabeth Schneider, who will attend Erskine College.

The scholarship is named in honor of Dr. Robert Williams, a long-time CBL director and chairman of the board.

Students interested in applying for the scholarships will find the applications and qualifications on the Community page on the Citizens Building & Loan website at www.CBLGreer.com.
