Contestants will compete in preliminary interview, lifestyle and fitness, talent, evening wear, and on-stage interview. The winner will compete in the Miss South Carolina pageant in July.
The pageant is open to the public and admission is $5.
The candidates:
• Egan, a freshman, is a graduate of Byrnes High School. She is the daughter of Cyrus Berdan and Georgeanna Egan.
• Allisha Fewell, a sophomore, is a graduate of Rock Hill HS. She is the daughter of Maurice and Angela Fewell.
• Kathleen Grayson a sophomore from Easley, is a graduate of Liberty HS. She is the daughter of Webster Grayson and Eva Haynie of Easley.
• Brittany Moore, a freshman, is a graduate of Union County HS. She is the daughter of Robbie and Sharon Moore.
• Logan Phillips, a sophomore, is a graduate of Blacksburg HS. She is the daughter of Randy and Julie Phillips.
• Orrien Williams, a freshman from Fountain Inn, is a graduate of Hillcrest HS. She is the daughter of Brenda Williams.
“The Miss SMC Pageant is an exciting event for our students and campus,” said Colleen Perry Keith, SMC President. “This group of young women is an impressive group. We are pleased our students are able to demonstrate their community service efforts and talents in this venue.”
Bonnie Walls, from Piedmont, is the reigning Miss SMC. Angela Hughes Singleton, Miss South Carolina 1996 and Mrs. South Carolina 2005 will serve as host.
Judges are Heidi Aiken, Radio Host on B93.7, Penny Fisher, Chair of the SMC Board of Trustees and former Superintendent of the Greenville County School District, Effie Williams, Bobby Holcombe, Director of Financial Aid at USC Union, and Joyce Cox, former Director of the Miss Greenville pageant.
