GPD needs help, asks media to assist locating shooting suspect

Andrew Jacob Johnson, 31, is wanted for burglary, attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime in Greer. 

 

The Greer Police Department is partnering with GreerToday.com and other media to ask for the public’s help in locating a suspect in a burglary and shooting two weeks ago in Greer.

Just the facts:

Suspect: Andrew Jacob Johnson

Age: 31

Wanted: for burglary, attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Other active warrants in several upstate jurisdictions.

Gang-related: Possible, according to GPD.

Where: 104 Pelham Street, Greer

When: June 18

Need to know: GPD reports a man was shot in the side of his head and his rib cage after armed intruders broke into the house. Multiple suspects reportedly broken into the home and started firing their weapons. A pregnant woman and 5-month-old baby were also in the room when the shooting occurred. Johnson works in residential construction.

Last known address: 5300 Fairview Road in Gray Court. GPD tells us he may be with a white, female, family member, slender build with brown hair.

Vehicle: May be in a 2009 maroon Ford Taurus, license plate KRN 833.
