David Zerfoss, author of “Stress is a Choice” states that several years ago while listening to his pastor give a Sunday sermon, he spoke about how life is made up of a series of choices.
“It made me realize that my hectic professional and personal life was of my choosing. Therefore, a life of stress had become my choice. That’s a liberating concept because if stress is a choice, you can choose not to have it."
That same concept can be applied to not only to the Christmas season but our weight loss journey as well. Here are some final tips to get you through the rest of the Christmas Holidays and 2013.
Read the TSFL guide again. Think of each day as a new beginning and if you don't follow the diet exactly, don't stress over it. Choose to start again, realizing in order to lose weight successfully and keep it off you must follow the 5 & 1 plan, drink your water and eat your healthy fats.
Make that the choice to follow the plan as designed … and if you do, you've eliminated the stressful thoughts of “how can I get this extra weight” off until you are able to shout the most joyous words of "Wow thank you. Why, yes I have lost weight." Can you think of a better gift than that? Plus the gift of health. That's my Christmas prayer for each of you.
If you have friends or loved ones who are ready to start a simple weight loss journey for 2014, encourage them to contact me forwarding this email or visit here so we can ring in the New Year with excitement and a stress free plan for a new skinny self and the best health you can have.
Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year.
